The Northland Coast

The north-eastern waters of New Zealand are the feeding grounds of the world's largest striped marlin. They are also the waters where the majority of  IGFA world records for Striped Marlin and Southern Yellowtail Kingfish have been taken. Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Broadbill Swordfish, Yellowfin and Big Eye Tuna, Mako, Hammer Head and Thresher Shark and a variety of smaller species such as Albacore, Skipjack Tuna and Mahimahi are also seasonally prolific in these waters.

This coast also has some of the finest cruising grounds in the world with excellent safe anchorages at regular intervals.

Expeditions of 3-5 days offer the opportunity to fish from the Bay of Islands to Cape Karekare and North Cape as well as some of the great fishing on the off-shore sea-mounts.

"Levante" is fully equipped to cater for up to four anglers plus crew in the best of comfort.
